Puppies begin learning how to fit in as soon as they arrive at your home! At 8 weeks of age it is the right time to teach good toilet training habits, manners and build a positive bond between you and family members. Get organized and learn how to stay ahead of the dreaded "Puppy Attack" using preventive tips to control play-biting, chewing, digging, stealing and other destructive behavior. Educate your puppy through play-training games for basic obedience commands and walking on-leash!
Early socialization is extremely important in the solid development of your puppy's social skills that are necessary for a secure, confident outlook as an adult. Puppies who do not have the opportunity to meet and interact with others often become shy, fearful or aggressive as adults when encountering normal social situations, such as greeting other people and dogs. Puppy socialization classes are small in size and held indoors at MISSION ANIMAL AND BIRD HOSPITAL IN OCEANSIDE. Don't miss out on this fun and important part of your puppy's development.
7 LESSONS/$160 - It is not required that ALL vaccinations are completed, however puppies must be current in their vaccination schedule and a fecal exam is required.

Many dogs do fine attending group lessons, but other dogs need a little help before being put into the social setting of a group. Fearful, reactive or aggressive dogs may require a private in-home session to begin foundation work without the interference of distractions until you're ready for them. Depending upon your needs, we will be happy to help you make the right choice.
